The annual Polk County Livestock and Forages Conference will be held, Monday, March 20. It will be held at the Sacred Heart Church-McKenna Hall beginning at 6 p.m. with a dinner.
Topics for the evening are “Getting Thin Cows Bred Back” by Dr. Eric Bailey, State Beef Nutrition Specialist; “Pasture and Hayfield Recovery” by Tim Schnakenberg, Agronomy Specialist; and “Antibiotic Label Changes: Veterinary Prescription Required” by Craig Payne, DVM, Director of Veterinary Extension.
Sponsors for the event are Mid-Missouri Bank and FCS Financial. There is no charge to attend the event. Call the Polk County Extension Center by March 15 at 417-326-4916 to reserve a spot and so enough food may be prepared.
