The community is welcome back for the third year of the annual Boots and Badges Community Challenge Blood Drive at Southern Hills Baptist Church.
Community Blood Center of the Ozarks will be accepting blood donations at the church from 12:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 29.
The drive supports patients and first responders in the Bolivar area. Participants will receive a free t-shirt and a voucher for two Springfield Cardinals tickets (redeemable through CBCO’s donor rewards store) while supplies last.
Blood donors should prepare the day before and the morning of their donation by drinking plenty of water or juice and eating a well-balanced meal.
A photo ID is required upon donating. Walk-ins are welcome, but the appointments are strongly encouraged in order to reduce wait times.
