The ARPA Funds were received in two payments. $3.1 million was received in 2021 and the second installment of $3.1 was received in 2022. Rules and guidelines from the Federal Government directed counties of how and where these funds could be utilized. Rules and regulations stated these funds are to be obligated by year end 2024 and expended by year end 2025, that expended date has now been extended to year end 2026. Early in 2022 we were able to utilize a portion of these funds for sick pay for employees missing work due to covid, we discontinued that option in September of 2023.
