Woodcarver Vic Hood visits Bolivar

The Bolivar Woodcarvers club welcomed Vic Hood, from Franklin, Tennessee, on Tuesday, March 26, for a class on carving wooden busts. Hood and his assistant, Gene Graham, travel the country holding woodcarving classes. This marks the 18th year that Hood has brought his expertise to the Bolivar club. The class was attended by five local wood carvers as well as one from Nebraska, one from Arkansas and one from Kansas City. The class was held at the home of David and Nancy Hale. When Hood isn’t traveling giving classes, he also works on many historical buildings doing renovations.
