Bolivar Girls had three District 6 Champs who went on to place at the Missouri USA Wrestling for ages 8 to 14. Mackenzie Davis placed third in Districts to qualify for the state tournament in the 14U 110 lbs. weight class. She won her first match 20-2, lost her second match, won by Fall for her third match but then lost the next one, eliminating her.

SBU women’s track and field members Collinique Farrington and Stephanique Dean completed the NCAA National Championships Saturday. Both of them made the podium and led the Bearcats to become the 14th-best team in the Nation, beating out all other GLVC teams.

For over 50 years, a huge oak tree stood near the corner of our house. Two oak trees had grown together at the trunk many years ago. It was massive in circumference and stood over 80 feet tall. The shade over our house and the oxygen it produced were invaluable to us. The fall colors added beauty to our yard.

Stockton, MO- “As spring and lush grass growth arrives cattle producers need to plan for prevention of grass tetany,” says Patrick Davis, MU Extension Livestock Field Specialist. Grass tetany arises from a cattle mineral imbalance; therefore, Davis suggests that cattle producers use management strategies discussed below to reduce the incidence in their cattle operation.

WEST PLAINS, Mo. – For cow-calf producers, it is ideal to have one healthy calf on the ground per cow per year. Producers should also strive to have cows that are productive in the herd for many years. On average, a cow must stay in the herd for six years for the producer to break even on that cow’s initial investment along with yearly maintenance costs.
