My mother was born in 1936 and grew up during World War II. She had some special memories from her childhood that she enjoyed sharing with me. One of them included her family sitting in the living room where they listened to radio broadcasts; their primary source of music and entertainment, which also provided news and government reports about the war efforts.

In the Girls Wrestling State Championships, State Qualifier, Adrianna Menes-Lilly didn’t come home from Columbia with a medal, but she did make school history! She lost her first match and won her second match but lost her third match to end her season 35-9. She is the first to win a state match for BHS Girls Wrestling and she is only a freshman!
