The BHS Liberators started off the season at the Bolivar Invitational Tournament on Monday, April 1. Area teams joined the Liberators on the course with the anticipation of possible bad weather interrupting the tournament. However, other than a little shower mid-morning the day was perfect for golfing. more

Public post-testing of the Image Cast voting machines for the April 4, 2024 General Municipal Election will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Thursday, April 4, at the Polk County Road & Bridge Complex conference room, 724 S Killingsworth, Bolivar. more

The regular meeting of the Polk County Genealogical Society will be Thursday, April 4. The meeting will be held at the PCGS Research Facility on the southeast corner of the square. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. with a short business meeting. Speaker for the evening will be Diane Warren who will be sharing her great-great-grandfather’s diary that he kept while serving in the Civil War.
