Olivia Bradshaw, daughter of James and Stephanie Bradshaw, Ivan Preston, son of David and Christian Preston, Ayden Spotila, daughter of Dustin and Meredith Spotila, and Emilia Lewright, daughter of Derrick and Amber Lewright have been chosen as Bolivar High Schools Rotarians of the month for April. more

The Lady Liberators entered the Willard Tournament last Friday, April 12 as the defending champions, anticipating a possible re-match of the 2023 championship with the home team. Bolivar easily dispatched Neosho and McDonald County in two 8-0 matches Friday, securing their spot in the title game Saturday with Willard. Bolivar defeated Willard a week prior in penalty kicks at home after a 1-1 tie forced two overtime periods. As expected, the re-match was an intense battle on the pitch before the Lady Liberators fell in a 0-1 loss on a penalty kick in the final seconds. more

Church folks are my parents’ type of people and they are, to my surprise, a sometimes cheeky group to be around. There are four specifically that, when joined by my parents, form a group of six who tend to hang out quite a bit. They have monthly game days, go on excursions to antique shops or hole-in-the-wall restaurants, and gather for occasional holidays when the rest of their families aren’t coming out to visit. They have always been exceedingly kind to me, even extending invitations to join their game festivities or visit for holiday meals when my parents were out of town. more
