Tuesday, May 26, the Polk County Central Dispatch facility celebrated the grand opening of the new state-of-the-art facility that has been years in the making.
“This moment represents far more than a new building,” said Sarah Johnson, 9-1-1 Director. “It reflects the dedication, resilience, and teamwork of so many who believe in the mission of public safety and the importance of serving our community at the highest level.”
Johnson went on to thank 57th Governor Mike Parson, Senator Lincoln Hough, and Senator Sandy Crawford for their help making this vision a reality.
“We are deeply grateful to our public safety partners for standing beside us; not only during this event but every single day,” said Johnson, “your commitment, collaboration, and shared purpose are what make our work possible and we are honored to work alongside each of you. This achievement belongs to each of us; our team, our partners, and our community. We look forward to continuing this journey together, stronger than ever.”
