Bolivar failed to pick up the ensuing kickoff, resulting in West Plains gaining possession with time winding down in the first half. On fourth down with four seconds left in the half, Junior quarterback Cale Combs connected with senior Aden Judd for West Plains second touchdown of the game, giving the Zizzers a seven point lead heading into halftime.
Banner fired a pass to Bradyn Long to begin the second half on third down, bringing the Liberators down to the opponents 27 yard line. They tried for a two point conversion to put the game out of reach, but missed a pass, giving the Liberators a chance to tie or take the lead with the score of 20-27.
The Liberators mishandled the ensuing kickoff, giving West Plains the ball. After a couple first downs, the Zizzers were able to take a knee and drain the remaining time on the clock, giving them the win with a score of 27-20.
