Sending off summer with a splash, Polk County Library gave local families a chance to get in some fun in the sun at its annual Wet ‘n Wild event on Thursday, July 27. Library staff prepared free food, water play, and other outdoor activities for over one hundred individuals.

Wet ‘n Wild is one of the last library programs for this year’s Summer Reading Program, which ends on Saturday, Aug. 5.

Books, supplies, presenters, and staff wages for the library’s Summer Reading Program were provided in part by a $5,676 grant through the Institute of Museum and Library Services as administered by the Missouri State Library, a division of the Office of the Secretary of State.

For more information about the “Summer Reading is Afoot!” program, call Polk County Library at 417-326-4531 or visit the website at polkcolibrary.org.
