The Bolivar Area Chamber of Commerce kicked off its annual Light the Park event on Friday, Nov. 25. Local residents are invited to drive through the Dunnegan Memorial Park to take a look at all of the Christmas light displays representing various businesses and organizations in the Bolivar community.

The Zion Ladies Guild held their annual chicken and noodle fundraiser Saturday, Nov. 5. The guild provides funds to several area charities every year, this year they raised $3100 to be divided among the charities. Those that receive funds are House of Hope, Alpha House, Shop With A Cop, SOAR, COM, and Care to Learn, all Bolivar located charities.

Saturday, Dec. 3, Christmas hit the streets of Bolivar. The annual Christmas parade organized by the Bolivar Area Chamber of Commerce took on their second year of having a nighttime parade. Beautiful floats, excited walkers, horses and dogs, and Santa Claus all were on hand to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas.
