Berean Baptist Church, 4450 Scenic Ave., Bolivar, is hosting a free community-wide Trunk-Or-Treat event coming up on Sunday, Oct. 29, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Trunk-Or-Treat will feature lots of family friendly games, inflatables (bounce houses and inflatable jousting), snacks, hot apple cider and hot chocolate, and of course, plenty of candy. This event is for kids of all ages, and everyone is encouraged to dress up and come on out for a great time. For more information you can call the church office at 417-326-7758. more

I did a little research about the foundation when it was brought to my attention that they wanted to discuss their institution with the paper, but sitting down and talking about the goals and successes of the organization left me feeling like there are still genuinely good and altruistic people in this world. more
