The Human Services-Community Betterment Fund is granting $15,000 within the range of $3,000 per agency. Only 501c3 agencies may apply every two years. Community Outreach Ministries (COM) is hosting their second annual “Polk County’s Got Talent” fundraiser on Saturday, Sept. 23, at Bolivar High School at 6:30 pm. A spinoff of the popular television talent show, America’s Got Talent, the fundraising event will highlight the talent of ten local individuals and groups. The event benefits Community Outreach Ministries which seeks to alleviate food insecurity in Polk County through their food pantry and community development programs. more

The Bolivar Liberators rolled into Lebanon for their first road game of the season. The last two undefeated teams in the Ozark Conference met to take the conference lead. Lebanon was state ranked in Class 6 and Bolivar was ranked in Class 5. more
Thursday night the Bolivar Lady Liberators Volleyball team hosted their first Ozark Conference home game and second conference game of the season. The Liberators (4-14, 2-0) hosted the Rolla Bulldogs (3-8-3, 0-2). more
