A block party event called Caring for Caris will be held all day on Saturday, April 22 to raise funds for Caris Sheldon, a 10-and-a-half-year-old girl from Bolivar who was born with cerebral palsy.

Polk County Library is set to start the renovation of their Bolivar location on Monday, May 8. A recent press release stated that the renovation “is aimed at improving the overall functionality of the library, while also making it more visually appealing.”
