The Polk County Humane Society received a grant for free neutering and spaying of dogs and cats. Part of the funding is being used to provide free neutering or spaying services and free rabies vaccinations to any dogs adopted from the City of Bolivar Animal Pound between now and July 31. The grant is from the Jason Heigl Foundation. Homepage - Jason Heigl FoundationJason Heigl Foundation, Polk County Humane Society is receiving $7,650 to neuter/spay 36 dogs/puppies and 66 cats/kittens. The event dates run through the month of July. The dog neuter/spays are all in Bolivar at All Creatures Animal Clinic, Animal Care Clinic, and Bolivar Pet Hospital - all of which are discounting their rates so we can afford the surgeries with grant funding. The cat neuter/spays were all done at the Sedalia Spay & Neuter Clinic. We provided the ride to Sedalia and back.
