Mohamed Bade Ali, a 19-year-old green card holder from Sudan, has been charged with kidnapping and two counts of sodomy for incidents that took place in a Bolivar residential facility.
Ali was in a Bolivar facility with juveniles when the abuse allegedly occurred in October 2024. According to the probable cause statement, Ali and a juvenile resident (Juvenile A) lured another resident (Juvenile B), into their shared room with promises of a party, other kids, soda, and candy.
When Juvenile B went to the room, there were no other kids. He claimed Ali held him down while Juvenile A assaulted him, then Juvenile A held him while Ali abused him.
Juvenile B asserts that the abuse happened multiple days in a row because they threatened to come to his room and beat him if he did not show up. When he told them he would no longer allow the molestations, he was beaten and stomped.
At the time of the probable cause statement, Ali had been moved to a St.Louis facility. The report states he “poses a serious concern and present danger for the community at large, especially other residents he is placed to reside with.” He is currently in the Polk County Jail with a $50,000 bond.
Ali’s charges are kidnapping in the first degree, a class A felony, and two counts sodomy in the first degree, an unclassified felony. These charges carry a possible life sentence.
