Sidewalk improvements underway

The County of Polk is currently updating and improving the sidewalks around and up to the courthouse. Years of weathering and last year’s roof replacement had degraded the quality and safety of the concrete around the Courthouse. The Commission budgeted for the improvements to be made out of the General Revenue fund as ongoing building improvements to County property. Once the sidewalks around the Courthouse are completed, improvements will then be made to the sidewalks around the Annex as well as the west wall of the Annex.
